Ms. Meron F. Cherenet – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Ms. Cherenet works as a Senior Research Associate at AquaZ Inc. Currently; she works closely with the scientists on developing hybrid water filters using Aquaporin incorporated vesicle membranes. Ms. Cherenet was born and raised in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia and lived in the U.S for the past twelve years. Coming from a family who is well oriented with the coffee business, Ms. Cherenet has in depth knowledge about coffee processing and the coffee business.
Ms. Cherenet received her Bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict, Minnesota with a focus in Biology and Psychology.
Mr. Fisseha Cherenet – Chief Operations Officer (COO) -Mr. Cherenet has been in the coffee business for almost thirty years, beginning with his mother who owned a coffee farm. For more than fifteen years, he has been providing washed and dried coffee beans to private coffee exporters. Eight years ago, he started to export coffee himself to Asia, Europe and the U.S, which has been very successful.
Mr. Cherenet attended agricultural college in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia and worked for the government in the coffee and tea import/export business upon graduation. After working there for five years, he decided to open his own wet and dry coffee processing sites in Sidamo, Ethiopia followed by a second and third site in Yirgacheffee and Limu, Ethiopia. Mr. Cherenet also owns multiple veterinary pharmacies in the southern part of Ethiopia.
